Next weekend, September 13-14, a unique experience will take place in Traslasierra Valley with the arrival of Desafío Cura Brochero, a new mountain bike competition that combines sport, nature and the legacy of Cura Gaucho in one of Córdoba’s most breathtaking landscapes.
In addition to a Prologue (6km), the race will have three distances designed for different levels of difficulty: 35km, suitable for beginners (starting in Mina Clavero); 85km for experienced cyclists (starting in San Pedro); and 118km, the great challenge for the most demanding competiros (starting in San Pedro).
Each track offers a route along iconic roads and historic trails, providing participants with an experience that transcends sport and reflects the spirit of excellence that inspired this competition.
For this two-days competition, the organisers have planned a major security operation, mechanical assistance and six hydration stations, as well as live tracking. In addition, an optional transport service from Ambul (the finish line for all the distances) to the starting points has been arranged for the convenience of participants.
With the know-how and professionalism of +Eventos, a company with more than 20 years of experience in the production of national and international sporting events such as the Dakar Rally, WRC, MXGP and Desafío Ruta 40, Desafío Cura Brochero stands out as one of the most attractive sporting events on the MTB season.
Desafío Cura Brochero A two-day competition format
Saturday, 13 September: A 6 km Prologue in San Pedro, which will be crucial as it will determine for the starting order for the following day. Although it will not count towards the race time, it will be a competition itself with special attractions: Shimano prizes for the winners of the MTB General Classification in men and women, as well as raffles among all participants.
Sunday, 14 September: The main attraction with three challenging routes: 35 km (starting in Mina Clavero), 85 km and 118 km (both starting in San Pedro). All distances will finish in Ambul, in a unique natural environment where the grand finale will take place with the Pasta Party—a space for gathering and camaraderie along with a delicious plate of pasta to recharge the batteries-and the official podium celebrations.
